Younger players in particular are accommodated by the narrower (39 mm) meranti body. A fingerboard made of jatoba, a wood known as Brazilian cherry, fitted with twenty-two frets, is glued to a bolted maple neck. Positioning dots make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface.
